I’ll raise your Anjou Speaker Cables ($7250 for 12 foot of cable) with the Rundco MBX-1 3 Chip DLP Projector. The amazing specs are as follows:

  • Variable Light Output up to 5000 ANSI Lumens

  • 3-Chip DLPTM System with New, Dark Metal Process Technology

  • 1280 x 1024 Resolution

  • Contrast Ratio: 1100:1

  • Image Sizes up to 500″ Wide

  • DTV Compatibility: 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p

All for the low cost of $249,995.00. Oh, by the way, no keystone correction. I’ll take a Christie or a Barco, thank you very much.

Runco MBX-1 @ Aurant

Ed.: That’s unusual. I guess the pixels are, uh … more … pure? Anyone seen one of these bad boys? Does the humpback whale snout in the lens really make that much of a difference? ;) -PK

vade,

What was a point of posting such expensive projector item on CDM? I wouldn’t consider this news worthy as it clearly goes over anyone’s budget around here, or am I missing something.

If you guys need something newsworthy and relevant, there are plenty of topics to consider beyond promoting Expansive Products, Brands and new Gismos and take it back to the actuall creativity.

Still love ya but!

Haha. The point is that it is so far off the mark as to be funny. I guess the humor of it was missed. Oh well. I guess you didnt follow the sarcasm in the post. Perhaps I was not heavy handed enough.

*takes notes.

I see the irony/sarcasm etc but all that aside - the resolution doesnt support 1440×1080 or 1920×1080 does it? Despite the site’s claims that its 3 step processing replicates film blah blah…it doesnt seem to be able to do anything above 720p…

Silly Americans.

Yeah, this projector is really nothing more than a really really really expensive joke. I wish James Randi would offer a cool million to debunk these guys as well. Maybe they are using some sort of special DVI cable? :) :) :)

Wow. Thanks electrofrog. That thing looks fantastic! 150 pounds is still a reasonable chunk of dollars, but the ability to have perhaps 8 small projections rather than 2 big ones could make for an interesting budget scuffle..
