Has anyone done anything of this scale of animation in Apple's Motion in a way that it could be controlled via midi input or sound responsive. I think there's definately a lack of animation software out there for making nice composited work that's realtime or has live input. I mean Shake/Nuke etc. are great for compositing, Max/Isadora/VVVV are cool for more abstrakt generative stuff as is processing and open frameworks, but I dream of a new timeline layered animation software that bridges the kinda gap between AE/motion and some sort of ableton live session/arrange type app. Am I being blind and missing something?
