And, of course, you gotta visit the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, and see the definitive collection of Duchamp! (Including 'Large Glass' and MD's last work, a fantastic medieval-looking door with a tiny peep-hole, revealing a splayed nude female form in a setting that screams 'Budwiser – The King of Beers'.) Seriously, check it out!

Pretty great! I've been only playing the little fragment from the "Cage- American Masters" video for students for years. See, these guys knew a thing or two about HUMOR, about NOT TAKING THEMSELVES sooo seriously!

And, let's face it, who 'won' the 20th century in the art and music category? Picasso and Stravinsky? Nah . . . Duchamp and Cage! (why? because you can hybridize their IDEAS onto the contemporary digital media landscape – - – kick ass!)

Aaah, Duchamp. I have so much time for surrealist masters. The one time I've broken out the camera in a museum which didn't allow photography was to get a picture of myself through "The Bride Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors" (replica) in the Tate.

thank you so much for posting this. i can't get enough cage or duchamp.

i am a big fan of duchamp's work… as evidenced in the name of my website.

i'd love to see more historical experimental film/video/motion work here.

i think it would be very inspirational to many people.
